@AAKL@infosec.exchange @GamesRadar@flipboard.com It seems that after countless years, my childhood is finally coming to an end. Who would have thought that it would end in a series of Microsoft layoffs?

@kdkorte@fosstodon.org @GamesRadar@flipboard.com It seems to be ongoing. AI is expensive.

@AAKL@infosec.exchange @GamesRadar@flipboard.com Yes, unfortunately, it seems to come at the expense of our culture and entertainment.
And before you ask, I do consider franchises that Microsoft owns, such as StarCraft or Just Cause, much more culturally valuable than Co-Pilot or anything from OpenAI.

@kdkorte@fosstodon.org @GamesRadar@flipboard.com I agree. These tittles are part of the cultural journey. The AI models have been corrupted by mountains of garbage scraped off the web, so that seems like a skewed representation of the culture, especially when the mixed results are taken into account.

Looking from the outside, so to speak, as an observer might, I don't recognize this world any more.
