Another approach is to make a shopping list before entering the supermarket, and then resolve to buy nothing except what's on the list. That way, you don't wander aimlessly up and down the shop, thinking "What shall I have for dinner on Monday? Ooh, look, it's the biscuit aisle."

What about the biscuits at work? You could try taking in a healthier snack and hope that you don't end up eating that
and the biscuits. For that to work, the snack needs to be filling. A satsuma won't do the job; a handful of unsalted nuts just might.
