Last month, I shared the very high surge of COVID in the wastewater in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. Some suspected a data problem, but there were 10 distinct readings, so it seemed unlikely.
My wife might've solved the mystery after watching a documentary on Bryan Kohberger's trial. His trial was a media sensation. On 7/2, he pled guilty, and on 7/23, he was sentenced. The surge occurred from 6/23 to 7/22. It could be that a huge contingent of media in a small town caused this surge.
