One of my biggest Mastodon pet peeves is people citing reports without providing a link or proper bibliographic reference. How do I know the report is real. Even if it sounds credible I (and I am sure others as well) will not boost or repeat the reference without verifying the source so folks are limiting their reach by not properly citing reports.

@the5thColumnist@mstdn.ca They claim to value citations but then don't provide them. Best to ignore people who do that. It's unlikely that they have a high quality citation they like because they've revealed they're only interested in their position and not its evidence.
