@zopyx@mastodon.world Not for me. Almost all of the people I interact with are not on my "home" server and there's a wide variety which server they're on. There's also a fair share of people not even using Mastodon to participate in the fediverse, there are people using GotoSocial, Hubspot, Pixelfed and other software (never mind the Blusky bridged accounts, that I never interact with). The really nice thing for me is that a lot of folks I interacted with over ~30 years on different platforms (Google+, IRC, Slack, whatever) have found their way into the fediverse. And I see a lot of nice conversations (threads).
Seems my experience is really vastly different from yours, I'm pretty happy in the fediverse.

@schaueho@functional.cafe in many case, you can't see other persons followers, often images are broken because particular servers have problem and so on...kaputt on so many levels...Bluesky and ATProto a clearly a better choice.
