Second is a high res picture from NotebookCheck of the same motherboard.

There's not much on this side of the board near the jack, although plenty of capacitors further north which may indicate something.

I might have to remove the board and look at the other side to see if I can spot anything useful.

@xssfox@cloudisland.nz @pjf@cloudisland.nz @LapTop006@aus.social came here to write that. The β€œT” is a current rating code for a self resetting poly fuse. That’s likely the next (only?) step for power coming in from the jack. It might be busted, is there electrical conductivity across it?
