@JamesWNeal@mstdn.social Man, just wait until these idiots find out how long it takes to build out a chip fab plant, nevermind a plant with the capacity to serve the entire US market.
Even legacy tech like ~20+nm chips still take 3-6 months from start to finish.
The US economy will be a smoking crater and distant memory by the time the first new chip fab ships its first tray of general purpose CPUs.
