The European Central Bank has launched a design contest for the new euro banknotes.
Open to graphic designers in the EU, submit your proposal for one of two themes:

The designs – reflecting Europe’s shared cultural identity and natural heritage – will shape our currency for years to come!

You introduce €1 (Antique / Classical Era) &
€2 banknotes
as well as
reintroduce €500 (modern) bills and consider even issuing €1000 (futuristic) bills amidst #inflation.
In return you can phase-out €1 & €2 coins.
Heck, even choose real locations in the #EU (or allow nations similar to coins to choose local) #bridges, #rivers, #plants and #birds.
Pretty shure #Rhine, #Danube, #Olives, #Eagle and #Owl would make excellent motives.
