It now seems that people do have a genetic disposition towards chronic fatigue syndrome & ME... not caused by but can 'tip the balance' towards experiencing CFS/ME.

Whether this new research will help sufferers avoid both disbelief & medical neglect, and allow CFS/ME to be taken more seriously & recognised more easily.

And then we might also wonder whether there are any links with Long Covid?

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us I have this, yet was previously very physically active, fit and healthy by most people's standards due to kickboxing, cycling and running.

The best I can explain it is that it's like the feeling of coming down with a cold, but never quite getting the cold because your immune system is on overdrive, using up much of the energy you need to do ordinary, everyday things. So you just end up feeling run-down and demotivated.
