I have to ask, has scalping made the used game market any worse over there? Here it was fine before the pandemic hit, and now I find little point in trolling the thrift stores anymore—it's picked over.

It can be hit and miss.
Certain retro games are eye wateringly expensive, and I have seen a few things that I would have picked up if I was in the mindset of having a massive physical collection.
Sadly, I don't really have the space for it...
