@winterknight1337@infosec.exchange According to Denis Ritchie it was non-American Brian Kernighan that coined the name cookies after a fortune cookie one might be given with a meal in old Kowloon. A tiny package with a message inside and something which is not nor ever would be considered a biscuit anywhere in HM Commonwealth of Nations.
