yeesh.
even if i scroll just a little, visiting linkedin always makes me queasy.

i wonder if you took something like gpt4.5, took everyone youre connected to on linkedin, fed in absolutely everything, then right afterwards, fed every public post that same list of people has made over the last 6 months, and asked it to figure out which linkedin posts were authentic - what would the measure be?

like how many folks are just straightup 100% spewing fluff and bullshit there?

and this is what makes anonymity so great. I don't want my critical opinion on $thing to have my real name attached. I don't need a perspective employer tying my name to a thought I had about LLMs once.

This is what made early internet so great. With handles and a open platform like usenet or IRC, you can let loose on thought and opinions w/o it following your resume around.

We are now in the days of "this goes on your permanent record" being a true threat to existence

There is a big reason I hold on to what little privacy a handle affords..
