Humans will have to change themselves asap or go extinct.
On the long run, after human go extinct the laws of natural selection says: whales will come back, they always did. They wont be back as marine mammals probably, but rather other animals may fill their niche.
But ofc new whales wont be the same as old whales, and what is lost maybe lost forever.
