#tcrno11 just throwing this, the first review on Google maps, in there as well, even if #tcrcapno232 gets to the ferry in good time.

reviewer: "Do all you can to avoid this place! The people from the ferry office mislead people waiting to cross by telling them that the ferry trip is shorter than in reality. They also fail to inform them that after crossing the Danube (the crossing take more than one hour), you will be charged with a "port tax" on the Bulgarian side (6 euro per car, 2 euro per passenger). Paying that tax and then waiting for the border control takes another two hours. In total you can spend 4-5 hours just to cross the border."

There shouldn't be any border controls anymore. From January 2025 Romania and Bulgaria are Schengen countries.
