My phone went on a little side quest to get a new battery today. I thought it was from 2021, but it turns out it might have been from 2020. Anyway, five years of battery is pretty good, I guess. I don't intend to get a new phone for another few years anyhow; hopefully the new battery will keep this one going fine.

@Vidyala@gamepad.club I still have a Pixel 3 and I'm definitely considering replacing its battery. After many years of use it barely lasts a full day with only light use. It's still a perfectly great phone though. It's that or I might switch over to a cheap-ish Motorola (with stylus!) now that I'm doing my own photo hosting it won't be as much of a blow to lose the free unlimited full quality photo storage Google provides with Pixels.

@90sScriptKiddiw@kolektiva.social That's pretty much this guy. It completely tanked yesterday during a phone call with A, and I had charged it right beforehand! Anyhow, it was more than ready. Looking forward to not having to stress over whether the battery is dying. It's probably not to expensive to replace the one in your Pixel 3, too?

@Vidyala@gamepad.club No, much cheaper than a new phone, and I can do the battery replacement myself, so I am leaning towards that rather than a new one. But, a fancy new phone with a stylus is tempting too.
