Does anyone know how to create a Bitlocker container on Linux?
(dm-crypt and dislocker can only read/write but not create)
#linux #bitlocker #askfedi

@13reak@infosec.exchange Best I could find was a commercial solution of questionable reputation: https://www.easyuefi.com/bitlocker-for-linux/bitlocker-for-linux.html
@13reak@infosec.exchange Bitlocker is a Microsoft product, so if there is an option to create one it would likely be MS only.
If you want alternatives, there is Veracrypt, and most distros also support LVM disk level encryption.

Thanks for the answer, but the argumentation is not quite right:NTFS/docx/xlsx/pptx are all MS products, which I can create on Linux.
I know about encryption alternatives, but I need to create a Bitlocker container specifically without access to Windows.
