People don't have idea how much money the EU is giving Ukraine (a bankrupt country otherwise).
And I think this is deliberate by the EU: they don't want backlash from people finding out they are spending so much money on a non-EU member.
On the other hand ,the war is existential for the EU, considering how much russia wants to disestablish it.
