Hello, I'm hoping someone has helpful suggestions. I'm looking for a nice mindless craft I can do. I don't want to do art, as in I don't really have a desire to create something from scratch. In the past, I've tried both knitting and crochet. I wasn't any good at either of these, partly because I was forever pulling the yarn way too tight. I did latch hook a long time ago, and really liked that. It checked the boxes for being simple, repetitive, and mindless, with a finished product that looked nice. The main issue was that I needed help to separate the colors of yarn and braille the pattern. I'm looking for something I can do that would not require cited help and would welcome any suggestions. Oh, and I'm looking for something that is easily portable, so obviously, things like soap and candlemaking are off the table.

@Lisasali@mindly.social I am not craft oriented at all, but when I asked my good friend who loves crafts, she suggested slow sewing. I searched it, it's sometimes called slow stitching, and here's what one practitioner says: "At its core, slow stitching is about embracing imperfection, mindfulness, and the joy of creating without pressure." My friend says for her it's not about a finished project, but the process of getting lost in it.
