My journey of (re)discovering IRC led me to https://thelounge.chat -- I'm honestly surprised that stuff is still being developed for this ancient (in internet years) and quite niche (in the age of social networks) technology. Thanks @ly2en@chaos.social and irc.linux.lt for bringing back memories πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

@karlpoe@infosec.exchange @ly2en@chaos.social Have you heard of znc.in? It’s quite powerful, but you still need a client. I’ve used it for some time, but got tired of self-hosting.

Eventually I switched to irccloud.com and never looked back.

@benmezger@fosstodon.org The Lounge is like ZNC on steroids. It's a bouncer and the client all rolled in one. Didn't like the limitations of IRC Cloud although you could set it up with ZNC and essentially get the same thing for free.
