I understand that people not in related fields of studies don’t know how to write CO₂ and write “CO2” instead.
But how (TF) can anyone in publishing, government or science be forgiven for this?!
If you work in climate science, government or anywhere near chemistry, you may not need to know what the 2 in CO₂ stands for, but your credibility will (and must) suffer if you don’t even know how to write the sum formula of the arguably most prominent substance of the century.
