I haven't refreshed my #introduction in more than two years, and the last version I did was back on my old account, so indulge me.
Hi! I'm Max. I first came to the Fediverse via Mastodon in September 2018, but didn't start seriously using it until October 2022. I was on Twitter for a long time (No, seriously—my user number was 10,231), but never fit in as well there as I do here.
I mostly post jokes, but also occasionally opinions about culture, technology, work, and politics. I would describe my own political worldview as "left-lurching."
I'm in my 40s, married, and have kids (two boys under 10). I'm diabetic. I was born Nebraska; I now live in Kansas. I was an IT project manager for several years, but in 2023 I was promoted to the role of "Solutions Architect." If you know what that is, drop me a line—I'd love to find out.
