For context, we have this guy here in Britain named Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, otherwise known as Tommy Robinson, who founded a nationwide quasi-paramilitary racist group known as the English Defense League (EDL). They were obsessed with exposing Muslim child sex offenders...until so many EDL members were 👉convicted👈 for being predatory paedophiles, Tommy now never mentions the EDL. All far-right groups are magnets for abusers of every kind, and they always use the crimes of others as a smokescreen.

@HeatherMJ@mastodon.social The UK has had child sexual abuse scandals in the entertainment industry, police and judiciary, care homes, hospitals, churches, even parliament. All have had their attendant media and public outrage, but only the "Muslim grooming gangs" have triggered significant protests, because nothing riles people up like brown men raping young white girls.

Indeed, the fash use it as a recruitment tool. They're all obsessed with the Asian rapists, but never say a word about the caucasian ones.
