small electrical fire in computer case, aftermath pictures

OKAY SO UUUH

that machine that's glowing red? yeah... some time during the night, a SATA power cable shorted and CAUGHT ON FIRE... which thermia didn't realize until this evening, while livestreaming the homelab setup, it smelled a familiar smell...

didn't investigate the smell further until much later... here's the result...

Thermia has had this machine for a while (multiple years at this point), it was only yesterday when it decided to move it from the floor to the table that something must've shifted to have caused the short (together with the cheap cable)
