Hey, folk who have #invisibledisabilities…. How do you explain to people that you don’t have the same body capabilities/endurance/needs as folk who don’t have the same challenges you do?

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how to better explain to folk that my body is always operating at reduced capacity because my
#donotdie medicine slows my heart rate and thus, while I’m fit and strong, my body tires more easily than it might otherwise do.

I can say “oh, I have
#LQTS” but folk don’t really get the implications. I can say “remember that person who died from drinking an energy drink/super caffeinated beverage/too much coffee?” And they get that… but… It doesn’t translate to “I GET FUCKING TIRED EASILY AND SOMETIMES I JUST CAN’T FOR A FEW DAYS BECAUSE THE MEDICINE THE KEEOS ME FROM HAVING A CARDIAC ARREST ALSO GIVES ME SUPER LOW BLOOD PRESSURE AND LOW HEART RATE”

I’ve had some friendships end because people thought I was always bouncing because I didn’t want to hang but the reality was I was just exhausted… and some folk don’t get that I sometimes have to change plans because body…

I can’t be the only one

Thoughts?

1. You are not the only one! I myself have a few invisible disabilities, it is only obvious, when people find out I survived several years without homing, in spite of state level "neglegation" due to nzs. I am tired of people assuming me an able bodied man's role. I was born different, and neglection in the medical and state departments are definitely not making it better.
2. Tbh I still need time to figure out how to communicate a disadvantage without appearing weak, both linguistically and from PR view.
3. I have to assume people are not even caring. I have heard so many clever advices and scares about health, but nobody actually puts the effort into matching me with a fitting stable income. Not even those who get paid on a daily basis for it. Because deep down in capitalism, where dependencies exterminate the remaining natural kindness of humanity, it's all about the upper 10% who takes it all. Your human rights for housing are not sustainable enough unlike your bosses yacht and DVD collection he can afford to champion with digital creators rights.
4. Friendships are not better either. Nobody is willing to sacrifice their lives for you if you do not perform enough. The constant sexual expectations and the pressure to perform is everywhere, because pervasive/ perverse surveillance turns this world into a hostile, toxic environment. I have only met 1 or 2 people in my life who were actually useful for my personal development. You go into whole cascades of toxic-abusive-selfish relationships without noticing...
5. For proper reaction, it is a big challenge to explain body related issues, people never experienced. When your own family and supposed friends believe it is a good thing to push you to your limits via constant disbelief, demotivational speeches, shaming, blaming, it is quite obvious, 90% of humanity is a virus to this planet. You find more empathy and understanding in an elephant or a chicken than most humans. Isn't it hilarious how they preach about being straight and making kids, while they complain there is already too much of us? This is the motor of their whole movement. Just like how homophobes want to stone gays for not marrying their straight women.
"We just want the best" - for or from you? Society never even gives the chance to reach your peak. Consumerism is over. You are the product. They take you for granted. For simplicity you could use a pin with some heart symbol.
