I hate how they tell you the "American Dream" is just making money. I don't know about you, but when I was a child I didn't dream of being a business guy with a good stock portfolio or whatever.
I dreamt of being the Spider-Man.

I dreamed of having:
* a family who I could provide for
* a nice house
* a nice car
Reality:
* no family, nor income that could provide for one
* renting an OK but not great house
* a nice car, which I can barely afford
