This #microfiction is going through my head after the Election: what would #Modders characters think of the results, 100 years from now?
It can be too easy, in the moment, to remember that what's happening now is just that, the moment. In the long term, #queer people see more acknowledgement of our existence and rights, #racism becomes less reasonable, #poverty decreases, and the flaws of our current brand of #capitalism become increasingly obvious.
We need to write more optimistic #SciFi, not only to show the world we want, but to remind people that world is achievable...
