I just realised that Dieter Rams (*1932, German industrial designer) compressed a very #solarpunk mindset in his famous quote „Weniger, aber besser“ („Less, but better“). It is more or less (no pun intended) the essence of #degrowth #decroissance. His ten principles for good design extend this even further.

I‘ve just finished the incredible „The Dawn of Everything“ by David Graeber —@DGI@graeber.social — and David Wengrow in the German version called „Anfänge“. Such a powerful book that I highly recommend to anyone interested in #solarpunk. Realising that our current systems are not a given. That another world has always been possible throughout history. It put a bright smile on my face time and time again.

An open book page features a discussion in German on historical governance systems and societal structures, reflecting on alternative possibilities and the impact of perspective on civilization narratives.
