You'd like to follow my toots, but you don't understand German and are put off by the German toots?
Go to settings/preferences/other on your 
instance (e.g. https://mastodon.social/settings/preferences/other). Tick the languages that you prefer and click "Save Changes".
I try to accurately tag the language of toots that I send.
