#Introduction time again, having moved instance.
Hi! I'm David, and I work in #Scotland (Kingdom of Fife) as an #NHS doctor specialising in #Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.
I have an interest in antimicrobial resistance (#AMR) and antibiotic stewardship, and I run our local #OPAT service, where we deliver daily IV antibiotics to patients otherwise well enough to be at home.

#Introduction part 2. I also have an interest in healthcare inequality. Healthcare systems are typically designed and built by and for cishet white men like me. So anyone else is automatically at a greater or lesser disadvantage from the outset.
I try to ensure that anyone attending my clinic, or that I see on the wards, or whom I work with, is treated equally and knows that I am a safe person to talk to. It's why I always wear the #NHS Scotland #Pride badge on my lanyard.
