#AnarresFamily turns one year old today so I think it's time for a new #introduction.
I'm Faith, a #trans girl in the US. I finally came out and started getting to know myself a little over two years ago. It's been an amazing journey and I wouldn't miss it for the world.
I'm here to share my journey, support the trans community as best as I can, and make a few friends along the way.
I tend to write a lot. It's not that I post every few minutes. I just write A LOT. I'm the reason our server is a character limit above 10K characters per post and I've written the equivalent of the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy in the last year, mostly from my phone. 😅![]()
Most of what I write is about my experience as a trans woman or about my mental and emotional healing process after decades of trauma and repression. I grew up in the rural US Midwest and was raised in the deeply queerphobic, patriarchical, and controlling Baptist/Evangelical and homeschooling culture. Coming out of that and getting to where I am today has been quite the journey. I enjoy sharing that journey with others and connecting with them in their healing processes.
I'm also #ActuallyAutistic, #ADHD, and #dyslexic, all self-DX. I don't talk about those nearly as much but they're also a big part of who I am.
Professionally, I'm an open-source software developer, but I don't talk about that much here. This account is for connecting with other people, not talking tech.
