I've noticed at a certain age things begin to float to the surface. If you beat yourself up when you were younger, those old wounds start to throb at odd times, and you may now and then, find yourself thinking and speaking in can only be your ancestral voice, because it sure as hell isn't you, but it still had to come from somewhere.
