Introducing 'The Wayhouse Project' - A 10-year not-for-profit project to create sound-proofed in-person table-top games venue(s) in Melbourne, Australia.
I've been noodling/obsessing over this for 18-ish months, and now need it to be in the open, so maybe I can get some assistance/guidance.
The core of the concept is: lets create premium tabletop games venue(s), equivalent to premium cinemas.
My next steps and requirements are:
* Create a non-profit company -need assistance with constitution and (now that I'm essentially off work) this registration fees.
* Write a formal business plan - I have a bunch of notes, that need organising
* Work on the funding plan - Kickstarter, but maybe there are grants, 'investors', etc suitable for non-profits
* Policies for .. everything? :)
* Directors and members to help steer the organisation
I'm mildly concerned that someone could 'steal' my idea, but ultimately I want these venues to exist, which they won't if I keep it inside my (increasingly broken) brain.
