To start heating action close snap at end of elastic band BATTERIES Lectra-Mits are designed to be used with D-CELL ALKALINE BATTERIES (Eveready E-95 or equivalent). These are available in most drug and hardware stores and in all photo-supply stores. The Alkaline D-Cell battery lasts about 4 hours if used continuously, much longer if used intermittently. (Ordinary"flashlight batteries" provide less heat, last less than 1 hr.) In extreme cold, carry batteries in an inside pocket when not in use. LAUNDERING Wash in luke-warm water with plenty of rich suds. Do not agitate violently. Use gentle squeezing action. Don't stretch or wring out so hard as to loosen electrical connections. Re-shape and dry flat in warm room. Use good grade of soap. Unsnap elastic band when heating action is no longer needed.
