In the second case the person is climbing a giant arched pole that goes over the bar. In the third case a person is rolling a giant pole that has its ends tied together to make a hoop. After pushing it to get a lot of momentum they cling to it as it raises them up and when they reach the top they let go and are flung across the bar. Lower caption: Fun fact: there are no limits on the length or diameter of the pole in pole vault.
