My reproduction of a circa-1910 Gustav Stickley No. 670 Music Rack (shelves). Material is quarter-sawn white oak. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon with dowel pins. (No metal fasteners.) The shelves are fixed at the front and are free to float between the rails as humidity varies. Finish is Trans-Tint Dark Vintage Maple dye-stain (1/4-oz dye in 8-oz distilled water), then General Finishing (GF) Seal-A-Cell, then GF Antique Walnut gel-stain as a glaze, and GF Arm-R-Seal Oil & Urethane (2 coats on most pieces, 3 coats on the shelves).
