A Facebook post with the following text: "New author scam (well, new to me). It's pretty obvious but they're bumping it up. I have gotten three emails recently, each one from a relatively famous author. Ruth Ware is the most recent one. It starts with a bit about the author, and a 'link to one of my favorites' and 'my full catalog on Amazon' (I didn't click either link) Then, 'I'd love to learn more about your book and writing journey. Feel free to share a link!' Not sure what those links will go to, but it's well-written, grammatically correct, and the email is the author's name, '.author@gmail.com' which doesn't seem outrageously spammy. A baby author might easily be flattered into thinking a more successful one might be interested in them."
