Screenshot of the Purple Air real time map of Raw PM2.5 levels, showing central Alberta and parts of Saskatchewan, at 12:05 MDT. Most of the Edmonton area is covered in bright green data point dots, with readings under 5 micrograms per cubic meter. The eastern edge of the metropolitan area, however, transitions to yellow and orange (readings in the 20s). Data points are less frequent outside the city, but as we continue east they switch to red, purple, and maroon brown, with correspondingly higher readings. Some stations near Saskatoon have particulate levels around 200 micrograms per meter cubed.
