When people post OT, for Off Topic, my mind immediately goes to Operating Thetan instead, and that's okay

I filtered http and https for the last 2 weeks in my main feed and started seeing a ton less spam on hashtags and more conversations or the replies my mutuals post to messages with links. I've needed to reload the feed more often, I guess I'm filtering out many posts, other than that ut's really been a great experience

That doesn't mean I don't see any links, there are still quite a few links coming in my feed, just filtering
http and https doesn't filter out all the URLs cleanly, for some reason

I might set the time limit to indefinite

I'm a little tired of hearing in the news from supposedly technically savvy journalists that the cops cracked the crypto for Sky ECC

It's been clear for ages that one of the police agencies hacked into a server and was distributing fake signed updates for the app which allowed them to intercept the unencrypted messages

It's just lazy to say the police cracked the crypto

"This the way the world ends, Not with a bang but a whimper"

Remembered this TS Elliot poem, wish the activities of the day didn't remind me of this

AI veganismβ€”I found interesting to know that it has a name. I like this quote too:

"
Unlike many other technologies, it’s important not to assume that skeptics and laggards will eventually become adopters. Many of those refusing to embrace AI actually fit the traditional archetype of an early adopter."

A article about ChatGPT therapy which is pushing vulnerable people into psychotic episodes.

"
Anoiksis, the association for people with psychosis sensitivity in the Netherlands, believes that AI offers opportunities for this group. But the association also emphasizes the need to keep the risks in mind."

Here's a razor wire, let's let our most vulnerable balance of it. There are risks, and as long as the vulnerable can stay balanced on the razor wire they'll be fine

Sent this by a friend from November 2018

"
Eric Chien, based in Beijing and raised in the US, has won an International Federation of Magic Societies' world championship title. The 26-year-old performed his magic trick β€œRibbon”, mesmerising the audience and judges with the illusion. The contest runs every three years and is considered the β€œOlympics for magicians”. The 2018 edition was  held in Busan, South Korea in July. Competing in the close-up award category, Chen is the first Asian magician to win a top prize in the contest."

It's amazing how many people I block for being a fascist safety officer on here. I read stuff like

You can't be rude to fascists
You can't be unkind to fascists
You must be polite to fascists

That's a sign for me that whomever is making the argument is a crypto-fascist. Please take that shit somewhere else
