I can flash the EFR32MG24 once with a program, but have to do the full dci device erase after each one and then power cycle to get the write commands to work again. But at least I have proof of life from gdb talking to openocd.

There is a Fiber Seeking Backhoe outside our "datacenter". Hopefully we don't lose connectivity again.

Just acquired a new tester and it has shown me that so many of my USB cables are lies.

I just got burned by a camera that doesn't maintain a monotonic file number count, so if you move MOV123.MP4 off of the card and then shoot another video, it will also be named MOV123.MP4 and when you copy the card contents to the same destination directory it will overwrite the first MOV123.MP4 that you recorded and can't recreate because that was the take that had to be done in one shot.

And after sending a efm32s3_dci_device_erase command, I can debug the chip. So thanks for the $5 dev board with boost converter, Ikea, even if we have to start from zero for the firmware.

Unfortunately it seems that Ikea is now enabling lock bits on their Zigbee devices. I also had to build a custom version of openocd to talk to this efm32s2 MCU https://github.com/knieriem/openocd-efm32-series2

The recent video by @BicycleDutch@mastodon.social on biking rules didn't explain this sign https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXxlHRtT0j8

Thanks for the SWD labels, Ikea!
