Physicist turned Game Dev.

Working as programmer at a mid-sized gamedev studio, that's mostly doing
#UnrealEngine projects. (My profile's title picture is the view from our office window.)

Confessing
#RustLang fanboy.

A bit late for an introduction, but I like the idea, so here are my #7GamesToKnowMe:

- Realms of Arkania: Star Trail (the original, not the remake)
- The Settlers 2 (the original, not the remake)
- Kerbal Space Program
- Transport Tycoon (explicitly inlcuding the OpenTTD remake)
- Dwarf Fortress
- Cultist Simulator
- Dominions 5

(Edit: Just to clarify: those are games I enjoyed playing, not that I worked on as a dev.)

As promised, I'll do a proper #introduction post:

Hi!

I'm Andi, and am currently working as a
#gamedev coder. My background however is in semiconductor physics, and this still very strongly influences my interests.

I'm not planning to post too much, but what I'll post will likely be about gaming, science, more gaming, and of course rants about game development.

Hello, World!

If you are reading this, congratulations, you found my very first post on Mastodon.

Why not take this opportunity, and have a look at one of my spare time projects?

I'm particularly proud of passwordmaker-rs, a Rust reimplementation of PasswordMaker Pro:
https://github.com/soulsource/passwordmaker-rs

There's also the PassFish smartphone app based on passwordmaker-rs, available via the Jolla Harbour or on OpenRepos:
https://openrepos.net/content/soulsource/passfish

(My official introduction will be a separate post, later.)
