I don't think I've read a bigger load of poorly researched shit in my life.

Literally went through novels and came up with this study. No social media, no talking to people, just looking at novels.

It's almost like he wanted to find the outcome he did so he could suggest his "transformational change".

Not sure how he can extrapolate people's "awareness of nature", and whether parents discuss nature with their kids, from looking at books.

If he'd spent 5 minutes talking to actual city dwellers he'd know his whole study was bullshit

@backupbear@aus.social I met my ex-partner at the pub on the corner where the courts are. At the club they ran under The Grand, called "The Underground"

@backupbear@aus.social I honestly can't think of the bookshop name, but I used to live on Scott St, went to NGS, and I'm pretty sure I bought books from there, too. I think it was up the road from my ex-partner's dad's wine shop

You know what, I'd love to create an Aussie fediverse BG3 group to progress through the story.

Have a full group of humans, all doing stupid shit and having their own motives, would really breathe life into the game for me

I went to the pub on my street this arvo with the kids for some beer and soft drinks. They were asking me why I don't go there.

I said "it's full of rich people". They nodded their heads and kept drinking.

I jokingly said "maybe I should come up here and bag myself a rich woman", to which they both cruelly laughed and said "You have no chance dad"

I thought I'd go through and update some knowledge on military assets of middle eastern nations, and, well, Israel is playing with fucking fire.

Their navy is a joke, corvettes, missile boats, and outdated submarines.

Their army is a purely "civilian suppression" army, so the Merkava's have transformed from MBT, to essentially heavily armoured transports with an oversized gun.

The only equipment that I'd call "state of the art" is their F-35's, and everyone has them because the US needed to sell them to everyone.

Meanwhile, just Egypt are running frigates, Abrams, and F-16's. I think any modern Arab-Israeli war would turn out rather different to previous ones.

It's almost like the Arab nations figured out sucking up to the US would give them an advantage in any future wars with Israel

Kind of crazy that Starfield is currently on sale, yet even with 40% off it's $72. Considering that a "full priced" game used to be $80, it seems way out of kilter.

I suppose that's what you get when you whack $40 onto the price of a game, because you can.

As much as I liked the playing the game via GamePass, it's definitely not "$120 good", and I'm not sure I'd have enjoyed it as much if I threw down $120

(yes, it's Aussie Dollars)
