Still working through last week's ideas... mostly learning how to crochet :)

I sometimes joke that I have so many interests and hobbies because of ADHD. It is partly true, but in general I feel great motivation from 'things that amuse me / make me laugh / fascinate me' (while I'm completely unable to do things that do not amuse me or fascinate me)
Sometimes little seeds of ideas get planted in some unexpected ways. I was trying to think of why I suddenly want to learn to play flamenco guitar.
A few years ago, I randomly went to a concert in the Mission and I was extremely moved by it. It was Antonio Rey and Pepele Mendez, two world class musicians in the field. I did not know anything about flamenco (or about them).
I will probably never run out of things to do or learn, and I like that very much. It can be big things (like learn a new instrument!) or small things (like improve my handwriting).
I'm turning 40 years old in a few months. I have never once thought 'am I too old to...?'
Life feels like a choose your own adventure game which is fun and exciting, always.
Some ideas I've had this week:
1. Go to law school
2. Research anglerfish bioluminescence
3. Learn to play flamenco guitar
4. Write the gay version of crazy rich asians
5. All of the above?
Someone once told me that my superpower is maybe 'thinking many random thoughts and then actually doing them'
I think I just have so many interests and never, ever being bored is my superpower

I miss caring for a dog. The universe heard me (taking care of a friendβs dog for the week)

I think there are two types of people in Monterey: people who love Hulaβs and people who hate it (like me)
Itβs a βtikiβ bar with too sweet drinks and not great NA options, and middle of the road food that looks like it should taste good but is not

I really like taking the bus (all buses. Anywhere)

the ceo of scale AI wrote, in 2020, that you should hire people who give a shit: https://alexw.substack.com/p/hire
in 2025, he made bank and laid off 14% of his staff, ostensibly people who all give a shit

don't give a shit for someone who doesn't give a shit about you
In Aug 2018, I took Cookie on two planes, to California where she lived a life of luxury and peace and snacks.
I loved taking this trip with her. She was a great traveler (very quiet, except for the loud snores, people didn't even know she was on the plane)
I miss her so much but I also appreciate that we had 15 long and great years together
At a very hipster bakery. They had a new pastry. I asked what it was. They said βsamosaβ except they pronounced it like βsmoresβ

So obviously I felt like an idiot because I said βsorry what! I donβt know what youβre sayingβ like 5 times
