Drive | Brutkey

A somewhat strangely coloured but perfectly nice photo of two cats lounging side to side, shoulders touching. They are a white and brown classic tabby and a black and white tuxedo cat, and both have their left front paw curled under their chests and the right in front. They're lounging on a quilted pillowcase laid flat on a gray wood grain desk, both looking in the same direction, ears swivelled to listen to sounds neighbours are making. Despite the very different coloured fur, their skulls and eyes are remarkably similar in shape, and they do indeed look like brothers. Blue fading sunlight and warm lamplight from inside have confused the camera, so the white balance is a bit off.

A ginger tabby cat is sitting on a sill or ledge behind a bed, his back feet on the sill and his front paws on the black iron bed frame. His posture is timid and shrunk in, and he's intensely staring just off frame, a sort of anthropomorphic expression of betrayal, distrust and accusation on his little kitty face. His yes are green and orange, his stripes copper, and his white whiskers are at a slight droop. Truly he is not at all as exuberant as usually, but his dramatic nature shows through, as instead of hiding away somewhere he has placed himself safe but entirely visible, and is making sure you know he's just suffered greatly. Jail for mum, jail for mum for a thousand years! There's a little bedside lamp and tablet device next to him, showing the scale of how he is a moderately large boy even when hunched over warily. A big red pillow dominates the lower portion of the image.

A lovely and calm photo of a classic tabby cat with a white face, paws and tummy napping on a desk in front of a window sill and curtains, soft light slinking in from the window behind him. He seems otherwise quite lost to the nap, but the disembodied human hand reaching to place its pointer finger into his paw, which is thus gently curled around that pointer, proves that he is only half napping and is fully ready to hold hands when induced to. Eyes closed, ears floppy, the other front paw a relaxed noodle shape, he is just very soft and relaxed. The human hand is bedecked with many silver and tiny garnet gemstone rings. All in all there's a wonderful play of lights and shadows on the cat and everything, and the muted colour palette of dark earth tones and a little bit of pink is just nice.

Another photo, flooded with ambient light that makes the mostly black fur of the tuxedo cat, Musti, resting on the same bookshelf look like sumptuous shiny velvet, thick and deep. He has bright yellow green eyes that are wide open and focused on something in the distance. He has a little white cravat, white socks and white whiskers, and a little bit of white on his chin. He has a few white forehead whiskers, which look a little bit like silly eyebrows.
