I got the 12th, 13th and 14th emails.

Good morning. Despite J finding her glasses and the note I had left with them (see https://cupoftea.social/@scribblanitea/114983560261575963) I am surprisingly still alive.
I wasn't planning to be up to much outdoors today, but Thursday has started with a pretty miserable dull overcast sky and rain, so it's not looking likely I'll do anything unscheduled out there at the moment anyway.
Still, we're another day closer to the new football season-heralding Charity Shield match, and I have plenty of tea and a good book.

Wrote and posted a new blog post this morning
Finally spoke to my Mum on the phone after some words were had and we'd not spoken for a month or so. Still not happy with the parents attitudes to some things, but got through it by not going near those things. Dad's a different issue for another time.
Roast chicken dinner with my own grown, picked five minutes before cooking, green beans and carrots.
Found J's glasses on a shelf in the utility room. Instead of picking them up and putting them somewhere more sensible, I just added a helpful note to where they were.
I did a blog about not wanting my blog to be too popular, so it is ironic that I am telling you about it really.
If you read it, you'll know not to say anything about it.

Got an email about volunteering for helping out in the upcoming Kakapo breeding season in New Zealand. Sadly, it's a bit too much of a trek for me, being on the other side of the planet and all. Looks fun though.

Questions I am pondering today.
Why are my pyjama trousers styled like cargo pants, even including proper, full cargo carrying thigh pockets? Am I meant to fill the pockets with snacks to take to bed with me? Surely if I go to bed with cargo pockets full of cargo, they will be uncomfortable to sleep in? Plus... there is only an elasticated waist. I can't actually put anything in the normal pockets without the trousers threatening to fall down, so cargo as well? I think not.
Been out for our walk.
