January 25, 2024- This study is published and peer reviewed in The Lancet. It was case controlled and replicated. It proves that β€œLong COVID is associated with severe cognitive slowing” It was a multicentre cross-sectional study revealing that β€œpatients with PCC responding to stimuli [was/is] ∼3 standard deviations slower than healthy controls.” -

As a health intervention, avoiding covid has a better bang for buck than just about any exercise, diet or vice abstention regime

(I think I first heard that from a cyborg from Shenzhen)

Generally I've come to recommending HEPA filters, because they're a familiar kind of appliance people can get from Ikea or Samsung or whatever, plug in and go

Opening windows is nice, but depends on layout and weather for both efficacy and acceptability; great if you're having a plumber in to fix your sink, less good for regular use

Everything else (HVAC, upper-room UV, far UV) needs some degree of expertise
