I'm a potter in the Southern Netherlands/German border region. A region with a tradition of slipware ceramics dating back to the 16th Century.
My work is based in that tradition but I do considder myself a contemporary potter.

This lovely burnished and incised pot was made some 7500 years ago in the South-East of the Netherlands.
The makers were the first agricultural settlers and are now known as Linear Band Culture so called after the linear band decorations on their ceramics.
