Massive snowfall mostly cleared, and even a yoga-for-cat-owners session completed. The day is off to a sunny but very cold start.

Snowy day! But not much accumulation yet. At this frosty temperature (-13C) the flakes are pretty small and dry, so it'll build slowly.

I see MerrySky is still saying 13cm, but the EnviroCanada forecast is now saying "20 to 35 cm" and issued an "orange warning."

This workbench I'm making is going to use these cute lipstick-red polyurethane wheels (locking) at one end, and adjustable feet with tee-nuts at the other.

Should make it easily moveable, but still pretty solid so that it doesn't move around when you want it to be steady.

No decision on a racing-stripe yet.

A couple of red wheel assemblies are shown, and two black screw-in feet, sometimes called levellers, are also shown.

"Squish-out" – something you love to see in cookies and woodworking/joinery, but not so much in subways and tailor shops.

Doing some glue-ups and it's gone pretty well today. A bit more cutting and assembly tomorrow and hopefully finishing this secondary workbench build.

A block of wood is attached to another length of wood with glue and couple of screws. The glue application appears successful because there's some being squeezed out of the joint as it's tightened. It gets wiped away with a damp rag before it starts to set leaving a clean tight joint.

After sketching for a few days, I guess I actually have to make some sawdust.

Putting together yet another workbench. This one for a corner of the garage, with some wheels and suitably designed to be level with the table-saw height for occasional alternative use.

A bunch of wood pieces, some cut, some awaiting a saw. Both a handsaw and a power jigsaw are handy for the task.

I've been using #Waterfox as my main browser now (on MacOS desktop) for a couple of months, and it has been rock solid for me.

One issue though was that I was having a hard time telling which of my tabs was the current one.

I'm usually not interested enough in 'themes' to bother, but this motivated me. Thankfully a quick theme search and swap and the current tab is now super obvious.

The high winds last week(?) stole our compost-bin lid. We searched in the snow, but found nothing. I was ready to make a new one from scrap wood this morning; measurements made yesterday.

But the weather taketh, and the weather giveth again. The thaw and rain turned up the missing lid somewhere we hadn't looked and, praise the thermometer, it's one less job this morning.

Finished the pie I'm working on for supper and it's well into its baking.
Seemed like more effort than it normally is–maybe not sleeping well last night is the culprit. Got it done anyway. relievedSmile
