New blog post:
"The term 'NSFW' is problematic and overdue for retirement"
I've been pondering this for a while now, and finally found some time to put my thoughts down in writing.
tl;dr: it is stigmatising/dismissive, and doesn't help people make informed decisions. More specific descriptions are preferable.

I have received a (genuine, as far as I can tell) Royal Mail tracking notification, for something posted using a 48 hour service, but apparently posted last week, to an address that I have not used for buying anything.
So I am a bit baffled.
I have worked it out, and it is not in the least bit interesting.
So much for a fun mystery :(

"Fixing a fatal git error when upgrading LiberaForms to v4.2.0 by changing my git config origin from Gitlab to Codeberg"
tl;dr: @liberaforms@fosstodon.org changed from Gitlab to Codeberg recently, and I needed to update my git config accordingly.
Written in case it helps anyone else!

Me: ooh, that eBook looks good! I'd like to buy it.
Also me: I can't tell if it has DRM or not or, if it does, if I can remove it or not. I'll leave it.
A special shoutout to all you wonderful authors who make it easy for me to buy and enjoy your books.
I am far off from using it for everything - that is not even on the cards - but I am enjoying my experimentation with git.
"Cyber insurance" sounds like something that bloodninja should have taken out.
Our survey found that while cyber insurance holds significant promise as a tool for mitigating financial and operational risks, its current adoption among UK SMEs remains limited by several interrelated challenges. The evidence indicates that many SMEs, constrained by tight budgets and basic cyber security measures, often resort to self-insuring. This approach, although seemingly practical in the short term, exposes them to potentially catastrophic financial impacts when a major incident occurs

It looks like it will be another hot day tomorrow.
Best to put your underwear into the freezer now, if you haven't already done so.
