I keep seeing people be confused or even aggressive about how worried some Mastodon users are about quote posts, but I can actually explain it pretty simply: some people were on Twitter in 2014-2015 and were on the receiving end of the world's worst harassment A/B test. So I don't think it's surprising those people ended up permanently associating the quote post feature with that.
Anyone out there might want the board out of a PS1 Dual Shock? This was taken from an old padhacked arcade stick thatβs being upgraded, and itβs still got wires attached.
Back in the day this model was popular for padhacking since itβs compatible with tons of stuff and you can remove the analogue sticks, butβ¦ donβt know if anyone still does this kinda thing anymore.
New blog post! I wrote about one of the weirdest CDs in my collection - a CD single with a few lo-fi music videos and the distinct vibes that this is the leftover wreckage of what was supposed to be a much bigger project that never came to pass.
