i don't expect to be able to upgrade the memory on my machine in the next 3 years, so i'm optimising my memory usage wherever possible
my latest breakthrough has been using systemd socket proxy to automatically spin up containerized applications on the first connection attempt, and automatically shut them down some time after the last connection dropped
it works great, and it integrates with the podman quadlet way of doing things very well
